TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Head coach Teri Moren has announced the nonconference schedule for the Indiana State women's basketball team today (August 1). The 2012 nonconference season features six home games inside Hulman Center and five contests on the road.

"We're looking forward to a competitive nonconference schedule," said head coach Moren. "With a young squad like we have, it will be nice to be at home in Hulman Center with our great crowd. We also have some quality road games that will provide a good test for the team."

Indiana State will play one exhibition game before the regular season starts, hosting Bellarmine on Friday, Nov. 2. The regular season begins with a pair of home games, as the Sycamores host Eastern Illinois on Friday, Nov. 9, and Marshall on Monday, Nov. 12.

The Sycamores hit the road for back-to-back games before Thanksgiving, as Indiana State travels to Bloomington, Ind., to face the Indiana Hoosiers on Friday, Nov. 16, before facing IUPUI in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Nov. 20. Following the holiday, Indiana State returns to Hulman Center to face Belmont on Sunday, Nov. 25, before wrapping up November with a road contest at Saint Louis on Thursday, Nov. 29.

December begins with a pair of home games for Indiana State, as the Sycamores entertain Northern Illinois on Tuesday, Dec. 4, and UIC on Friday, Dec. 7.

Indiana State closes out the nonconference season with three games in seven days, traveling to UT Martin (Sunday, Dec. 16) and Butler (Saturday, Dec. 22) sandwiched around their final nonconference home game against Chicago State (Tuesday, Dec. 18).

Of Indiana State's five road games, four (Indiana, IUPUI, Saint Louis and Butler) are within three hours of Terre Haute.

"It's great for our fans to have road games that close to Terre Haute," said head coach Moren. "I have no doubts that many will be making those trips and give us great support on the road."
