2013 – Named All-Conference in 200 meters for second straight year … placed second at MVC Indoors in 200 meters (22.11) … finished fifth in 60 meters (6.93) at MVC Indoors … ran career best 6.82 in 60 meters during MVC Indoor preliminaries … ran season best 21.89 in 200 meters at Meyo Invitational.

2012 – Named All-Conference in 200 meters … placed second in finals of 200 meters at MVC Indoors with career best 21.75, eighth best in ISU history … ran 22.02 for second fastest in preliminaries … ran career best 6.88 in MVC Indoor preliminaries of 60 meters … finished fifth in 60 meter finals at MVC Indoors in 6.99.

2011 – Competed in 60 and 200 meters … ran personal best 6.99 in 60 meters at MVC Indoors, finishing 11th … ran personal best 22.03 in 200 meters at Grand Valley Big Meet … placed 12th at MVC Indoors in 200 meters (22.49).

2010 – Competed in 55, 60, and 200 meters … placed 13th at MVC Indoors in 60 meters (7.18) and 14th in 200 meters (22.98) … ran personal bests of 6.64 in 55 meters (ISU Open), 7.15 in the 60 meters at Purdue Triangular, and 22.97 in the 200 meters at Wisconsin Elite.

Outdoor Track & Field –

2013 – Named All-Conference in 200 meters for second straight year … placed second at MVC Outdoors in 200 meters (21.85) … placed fourth in 100 meters at MVC Outdoors (10.67) … ran season best (21.51) in 200 meters and in 100 meters (10.60) during MVC Outdoor preliminary rounds … ran third leg of 4x100 relay that ran season best (40.64) at Billy Hayes …  ran second leg of 4x200 relay that ran second fastest time in school history (1:26.30) in finishing third at Drake Relays … ran second leg of 1600 sprint medley relay at Drake Relays (3:26.71).

2012 – Named All-Conference in 100 and 200 meters … won MVC Outdoor title in 200 meters with a career best 21.42 in finals … ran 21.49 for fastest time in 200 meter preliminaries … finished second in 100 meters with career best and ninth fastest in school history time of 10.49 … ran fastest in 100 meter preliminaries of 10.50 … ran third leg of 4x200 relay that set school record of 1:26.51 to finish sixth at Drake Relays … ran second leg of 1600 sprint medley relay team that ran fifth fastest time in school history of 3:24.36 at Drake Relays.

2011 – Named All-Conference as member of 4x100 relay team that placed second at MVC Outdoors with time of 40.43 … placed sixth in 100 meters at MVC Outdoors with time of 10.82 after running a personal best 10.75 in preliminaries … placed sixth in 200 meters at MVC Outdoors with personal best time of 21.74.

2010 – Named All-Conference in 4x100 relay which finished second at the MVC Outdoors in 41.19 … placed 11th in 100 meters at MVC Outdoors with a time of 10.93 and 11th in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 21.97 … ran personal best 10.88 in 100 meters at ISU Quadrangular.

Before ISU –

Lettered four years in track & field at Charlestown High School … school record holder for 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4x100 meter relay … was Mid-Southern Conference champion in 2008 and 2009, sectional champion in 2009, and regional champion in 2008 for 4x100 meter relay … named Most Valuable Player and Runner of the Year three straight years (2007, 2008, 2009).

Personal –

Justin Lamar Baxtron was born on Nov. 5, 1990, in Louisville, Ky., the son of Michael Baxtron and Felecia Jones … majoring in English at Indiana State with plans to become a technical writer … cousin, Kim Martin, played football and track & field at Franklin University … interests include running, writing, photography and drawing.
