Indoor Track & Field –

2013 - Named All-Conference in Long Jump for second straight year and in triple jump for first time … won second straight MVC Indoor championship in long jump with a career best distance of 24’-7” (7.49m) … placed third in the triple jump at the MVC Indoors with a career best leap of 49’-5.5” (15.07m) … ran a season best 8.09 in the 60 meter hurdles at the Grand Valley State Big Meet.

2012 – MVC Indoor champion in long jump with wining leap of 24’-1.75” (7.36 meters) … named All-Conference in long jump and triple jump … placed third in triple jump at MVC Indoors with career best leap of 48’-8.25” (14.84 meters) … had career best long jump of 24’-2.75” (7.37 meters) in placing second at Meyo Invitational … ran career best 8.07 to finish fifth in 60 meter hurdles at MVC Indoors … had personal best 7.66 in 55 meter hurdles at EIU Friday Night Special.

2011 – Competed in the 400 meters and long jump … placed eighth in long jump at MVC Indoors with a personal best leap of 23’-4.75” (7.13 meters) … ran personal best 52.57 in 400 meters at Tiger Invitational.

2010 – Did not compete.

Outdoor Track & Field –

2012 - Competed at NCAA East in 110 meter hurdles ... placed 28th in first round despite running career best 14.06 ... had career best leap of 23’-9” (7.24 meters) in long jump in placing third at Auburn Tiger Track Classic ... had career best leap of 47’-11.25” (14.61 meters) in triple jump while placing sixth at MVC Outdoors ... member 4x110 Shuttle Hurdle Relay that ran second fastest time in school history of 56.42 to win event at Drake Relays.

2011 – Ran personal best 53.36 in 400 meter hurdles at Pacesetter Invitational.

2010 – Did not compete.

Before ISU –

Lettered four years in track & field and two years in football at Hillcrest High School … was 2009 state champion in 110 meter hurdles and as member of 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams … named All-State and All-Conference three straight years (sophomore-senior) … named All-Sectional two straight years (junior-senior) … held 110 hurdle school and state record in 2009 (14.3) … named Most Valuable Player both junior and senior years.

Maurice Lyke III was born on March 6, 1991, in Riverside, Calif., the son of Renina Goodlow and Maurice Lyke, Jr. … majoring in Construction Management at Indiana State … member of Black Optimistic Men and Brothers and the Student African American Brotherhood at Indiana State … interests include hunting and fishing.
