TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State baseball team claimed their 10th straight weekend series on Saturday, earning their second straight walkoff win by scoring one run in the bottom of the ninth inning to top the visiting Nebraska Omaha Mavericks by a score of 3-2 at Bob Warn Field.

Nebraska Omaha (11-32) scored first on Saturday, getting a one-out single to right by Alex Mortensen to plate Colby McCord from second base.

Indiana State (34-10) took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on one swing of the bat, using a two-run home run to left by junior Jeremy Lucas to go up 2-1. The home run was Lucas' team-leading ninth of the season.

Sophomore Sean Manaea went seven strong innings, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out eight batters. The ISU sophomore leads the team this season with 80 strikeouts.

The Mavericks rallied in the top of the ninth inning to tie the score off of junior Devin Moore, using a one-out single by Brady Hohl to start the rally. Caleb Palensky tied the score with two outs in the inning, lacing a double into the right-center field gap.

The Sycamores walked off for the second straight game, as senior Jeff Miera led the charge with a double to start the inning. After a walk to sophomore Tyler Wampler, freshman Landon Curry dropped a sacrifice bunt down the third base line that was fielded by UNO reliever Josh Bullock. Bullock turned and fired to third, but the throw went into left field and allowed Miera to score the game-winning run.

Senior Chris Machado threw a scoreless eighth inning in relief, before Moore (4-3) allowed two hits in the ninth. Moore earned the win out of the bullpen for the second straight game as ISU rallied in the bottom half of the ninth inning.

Lucas and senior Jon Hedges each tallied two hits in the game, with Lucas driving in two runs with his fifth-inning home run.

ISU looks to sweep a weekend set for the first time since March 15-18 when the Sycamores won four games at the 2012 Irish Classic in San Antonio, Texas. Junior Ryan Torgerson (7-1, 2.88 ERA) will head to the mound for ISU on Sunday as UNO counters with redshirt freshman right-hander Zach Williamsen (2-2, 4.17 ERA). First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m. (Noon).
