Think Pink Segment on WTWO's Good Day Live 

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The ISU women’s soccer team finishes a three-game homestand at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday in an MVC matchup with league-leading Evansville. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.


ISU (5-8-0, 0-1-0 MVC) wrapped up non-conference action in a 4-0 win against IUPUI on Friday. Four different Sycamores had goals on the evening while freshman goalie Brittany San Roman posted her second shutout of the season.


The Sycamores are led by sophomore midfielder Kate Johnson who holds a team-high seven goals, three assists and 17 points while freshman forward Abby Reed has six goals, two assists and 14 points.


Freshman goalies Abby Keller and Brittany San Roman split time in the net. San Roman holds a .721 save percentage with 44 saves and a 3-6-0 record while Keller holds a 2-2-0 record on 20 saves in five appearances.


Evansville brings a 9-2-2 record into Wednesday’s meeting. They are coming off a 0-0 tie to Missouri State on Saturday to move to 2-0-1 in MVC play. UE is led by Kayla Smith with 14 points including team-highs in goals (5) and assists (4).  Three players (Lauren Tiernan, Abby Springer, Stephanie Thompson) all have three goals apiece as Tiernan also chips in two assists. Simone Busby holds a 9-2-2 record in goal this season with 44 saves and just seven goals allowed.


In the weekly Missouri Valley Conference standings, the Sycamores rank fourth in shots (170, 13.08 pg.), second in points (23, 5.15 pg.) and goals (23, 1.77 pg.) and second in assists (21, 1.58 pg.). In goalkeeping statistics, the Sycamores rank fourth in saves (64, 4.92 pg.) and tied for fourth in shutouts (3).


Wednesday’s matchup marks the annual Think Pink game as the Sycamores wear pink jerseys to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fans can receive free admission to the game by wearing pink and the game is sponsored by the Susan G. Komen Foundation.


The Sycamores hit the road on Sunday as it travels to its first league road game at Northern Iowa. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
