TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- As the direct result of a multi-year sponsorship agreement between Nelligan Sports Marketing and Ford, Sycamore fans have noticed several improvements at its athletic facilities this year which have enhanced their experience.
"Indiana State Athletics is very excited about our partnership with Ford that has provided new signage as well as a enhanced scorer's table inside the Hulman Center this season," ISU Director of Athletics Ron Prettyman said. "Ford's contributions have greatly enhanced the fan experience at our basketball games this season. The Sycamores are grateful to Ford for their continued support of our athletics programs."
Most notably, the Ford sponsorship agreement provided for the purchase of a new press row table at Hulman Center which includes space for over 20 workers with individual power outlets and room to store cabling which has made jobs on press row much easier on gameday for staff and media members covering the Sycamore basketball programs. To fans, the greatest upgrade his been the LED display on the front of the table which has the ability to display eye-pleasing signage and various graphics during a contest.
"We are very proud of our four-year commitment we have made to the Indiana State Sycamores," Bob Bowen, of Bob Bowen Ford said. "We wanted to show our strong commitment to what is going on with ISU Athletics. It is important for a national sponsor like Ford to have a presence at venues like Hulman Center and Memorial Stadium. We 'bleed blue' just like the Sycamores!"
Ford has also provided for new signage on the concourse of the Hulman Center which makes it easier for fans to find their seating sections as well as other areas of interest around the building.
The sponsorship agreement also provided for new signage around Memorial Stadium which better directed fans to their seating area at football games in 2012 and provided directions to concession and rest room areas.
Ford also brought their jumbotron to a football home game in 2012 for the second consecutive season which allowed fans to enjoy a live showing on ESPN College Gameday as well as Sycamore highlights videos during their tailgating activities before the game.
Saturday's basketball game against Evansville is sponsored by Ford and will include on court recognition for Ford Dealers during the contest. The Sycamores host the Purple Aces for a key MVC matchup at 8:05 p.m. (ET).
