NASSAU, Bahamas -- Indiana State went a perfect 3-0 on their Bahamas Tour with a 76-55 victory over the PJ Stingers on Tuesday night (Aug. 14) at the Kendal Isaacs Gym.


The Sycamores were led in scoring by Lucas Eitel, who finished with 15 points while Dawon Cummings hit four 3-pointers and went on to finish with 14.


ISU hit nine 3-pointers in the game and out-rebounded PJS by a 53-35 margin.


Leading the way on the boards for ISU was RJ Mahurin who hauled in 10 caroms.


Indiana State trailed by as many as nine points in the second half until Eitel and Cummings got hot late in the second half as the two teams entered the half tied at 36.


The third quarter was all Sycamores as won that period by a 19-6 margin and led 55-42 heading into the final stanza.


ISU limited PJS to just 16-of-58 shooting (28 percent) as well as a 3-of-18 mark (17 percent) from 3-point range.


Jake Odum had an all-round strong game with seven points, six rebounds and six assists for the Sycamores.


Mike Samuels did not play in the game due to a foot injury while Manny Arop left the arena in the second quarter after suffering a head laceration that required stitches.


ISU will return to practice in mid October and will return to action on November 1 when they host Lewis in an exhibition contest.
