TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Indiana State Sycamores donned full pads for the first time on Tuesday evening inside Memorial Stadium as the fifth day of preseason wrapped up.

The offense flexed its muscle during most of the practice as Mike Perish found Austen Wozniak on a long touchdown during 7-on-7 drills and he later found DeSean Prentice for a diving catch in the back corner of the end zone for another score during team drills.

Emerging as a leader on the defensive side of the ball is junior safety Larry King, who has forced a couple of turnovers so far early in the practice and in this video explains how his role is developing in 2012.

Heat was a factor during this practice as the sun gave the Sycamores plenty of warmth to deal with in their first day in pads.

ISU also spent time on the kicking game during the middle of practice. Missouri Valley Football Conference Preseason Team member Lucas Hileman is gearing up for a big year as he boomed several punts during the practice while Tanner Fritschle and Eric Heidorn continue to battle it out for the kicking duties.

The Sycamores return to practice Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. (ET) at Memorial Stadium.
