2014 Cross Country Meets

at Indiana State University

 

 

Our cross country meets take place at the La Vern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course located just east of Terre Haute, Indiana.  The course was designed to allow spectators easy viewing of nearly all the race course, while affording the athletes an ideal racing environment.  The course is NCAA regulation width and has an all grass running lane with gentle uphills and wide turns.  The NCAA Division I Championships were held on the course in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Race Times and Distances

 

12:00 noon                   Women's 6,000 Meter Race

1:00 p.m.                      Men's 10,000 Meter Race


 

Race Distances:  Men (10,000 meters), Women (6,000 meters).  Please check the Indiana State web site and the NCAA Championships web site during the fall for updates about the meet.  In 2014, the Women’s 6,000 meter race will begin at 12:00 noon EST, and the Men’s 10,000 meter race will follow the women’s race. The starting times may be adjusted.

 

Men and Women:  31 Teams and 38 Individuals to be determined at nine regional meets.
