TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State baseball team opened up their fall season at Bob Warn Field on Tuesday evening, earning an 11-2 win over the Ontario Blue Jays.

Junior southpaw Sean Manaea was the main attraction to begin the evening, throwing two innings in front of numerous scouts from around Major League Baseball. Manaea struck out three batters in his two innings while allowing just one hit.

The Sycamores were consistent at the plate, scoring in six of their eight innings. Sophomore Landon Curry led off the game with a single before stealing second base and moving to third on a throwing error. Curry would score on a sacrifice fly by redshirt sophomore Connor McClain to give ISU a 1-0 lead.

Playing with a modified lineup that allowed for 10 hitters to bat, Indiana State tallied 12 hits in their eight innings at the plate, with nine of their 10 hitters picking up at least one base knock. Curry led the team against Ontario, scoring three times and stealing two bases.

Indiana State's pitching rotation did their job on Tuesday, as six hurlers combined to strike out 17 batters during the exhibition contest.
