1 Abbie Malchow


As a Junior (2015):

Appeared in 13 games, starting 11 before suffering a season ending ACL injury against No. 11 Tennessee on Mar. 7. in Knoxville, Tenn...had 5 hits and two doubles while playing primarily at third base.


As a Sophomore (2014):

Appeared in 32 games during her sophomore campaign, starting eight, primarily at first base or designated player....Finished the season with four RBI's, three stolen bases and a home run...One of three players to hit a triple...In the series against Drake she went 4-4 in a the doubleheader and was a double away from a cycle.


As a Freshman (2013):

Appeared in 39 games during her first season as a Sycamore, starting 28, primarily as an infielder/designated player...finished her freshman season with 14 hits and two home runs while stealing three bases and drawing seven walks.



Abbie Malchow comes to Indiana State after being a two-sport athlete at Rochester High School in Indiana, where she was a standout in basketball and softball. Malchow was named Academic All-Conference, Team CaptainMVP, First Team All-Conference and All-District. Malchow was also a member of Varsity Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, Peers Educating Peers and Captain's Table. 



Her parents are Robert and Wendy Malchow and she has a younger sister, Rebecca. Hobbies include farming, having bonfires, riding horses and anything involving competition.
