MVC Player of the Week (2/18/13)

 

As a Senior (2014-15) – Played in 29 games, making 27 starts finished the season as the team’s leading scorer with 10.9 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game … became the 28th player in school history to reach 1,000 points as she finished her career ranked 20th in school history with 1,123 points scored … she is also the 12th player in school history to record 1,000 points and grab 500 rebounds in her career …finished her playing career with 742 rebounds, which ranks 10th all-time … also ranked fifth in the MVC in field goal percentage, going 47.6 from the floor on the season … also ranked ninth in rebounding in the conference this season …  posted 15 games in double figures including two double-doubles including five in a row to begin the season … notched a career-high 25 points in the win over ETSU … posted back-to-back 20 point games in conference play against Evansville and Bradley … grabbed double-digit rebounds on three occasions including a season-high 11 in the win over No. 25 St. John’s … shot over .500 from the floor in 12 games including a season-high .800 versus UIndy (4-for-5) … also went .769 versus Evansville (10-for-13) and .750 at South Alabama (9-for-12) … picked up a season-high three steals in a win over Illinois State … also posted a season-high three blocks at Illinois State … held a streak of 88 consecutive games over two seasons of scoring a point, rebound and appearing in the starting line.

 

As a Junior (2013-14) – Played and started in all 32 games … team’s leading rebounder with 7.0 boards per game …fourth in scoring with 9.4 points per game … became the 21st member of the 500 rebound club … scored in double digits 12 times …  led the team with 101 offensive rebounds, grabbing a season-high eight offensive boards against Evansville … went 10-for-11 (.909) against Bradley with a season-high 23 points to set the single game field goal percentage record … went 6-for-6 at Missouri State … pulled down a combined 33 rebounds in two games at the MVC tournament (season-high 17 vs. Loyola, 16 vs. Drake) to set the fifth and sixth single game records in tournament history … played a season-high 32 minutes at Eastern Illinois … picked up season-high four steals against South Alabama … currently holds a 64 game scoring streak.

 

As a Sophomore (2012-13) – Played and started in all 31 games … MVC Player of the Week on Feb. 18, after leading ISU to a weekend sweep on the road over Evansville and Southern Illinois … scored 17 points with seven rebounds at UE before posting 22 points and 10 rebounds at SIU … averaged 13.0 points and a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per game … set the school record for single-season offensive rebounds (102) … 160-for-318 (.503) from the field for the season … team-leading 31 blocked shots … scored a career-high 23 points at Saint Louis and at Drake … tied for second in the MVC with nine double-doubles … went for a career-high 17 points with 12 points against Northern Illinois … grabbed eight offensive rebounds and posted an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double against Northern Iowa … started in all 31 games as a sophomore.



As a Freshman (2011-12) - Played in 27 games as a freshman, starting her first career game at Illinois State on Feb. 3 … averaged 3.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game for the season … stepped up her game in conference play, totaling 5.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game during the MVC season … posted a season-high of 12 points against Drake on Jan. 22 … went for 11 points and nine rebounds in her first career start against the Redbirds … blocked a season-high three shots against Drake on Jan. 22 … shot 45.0% (36-for-80) from the field for the season.



High School - Three-year letterwinner while at Mansfield High School ... earned All-Ohio honors twice ... selected to the all-district and all-conference three times ... 2010 Conference Player of the Year ... set the MHS record for single-season (62.7%)  and career percentage (55%) ... 1,000 point scorer while placing second in school history for total rebounds ... also lettered for four years in volleyball and three years in track & field ... won district and regional titles in the 100-meter hurdles.



Personal - Born Racheal Janine Mahan on Nov. 1, 1992, to Jeannie and Gregg Mahan ... has one sister, Megan, and three brothers, Eddie, DaWayne and Brandon.
