TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State Sycamores will open the 2010 Preseason Football Camp on Friday, August 6 as preparations begin for the season opener on September 4 against St. Joseph's (Ind.) at Memorial Stadium. The Sycamores are under the direction of third-year head coach Trent Miles.

The team will report to Terre Haute during the day on August 5, and will begin their full schedule of preseason meetings and workouts the following day. The first practice of the preseason will begin at 5:30 p.m. (ET) at Memorial Stadium on August 6. All practices will be open to the public, which may enter through the gate on the Northwest side of the stadium, nearest the intersection of Brown Ave and Locust Street. As a reminder, Brown Ave., remains closed to traffic so please use the Wabash Ave., driveway to enter the stadium grounds.

Will the public is invited to all practices, please be advised that no videotaping of any portion of drills will be allowed. All coaches and players will be made available to the media at the conclusion of each practice. If special accommodations are required, please work those out with a member of the Indiana State Athletics Media Relations Staff in advance of the practice.

There are two full scrimmages planned as part preseason camp. The first will be the Blue/White game on Saturday, August 21 at 7 p.m. (ET). The second will be a mock game on Saturday, August 28, which also begins at 7 p.m. The first two-a-day practice session will be held on Thursday, August 12.

The practice schedule is subject to change due to weather, etc. The schedule will updated as warranted on GoSycamores.com throughout the month of August. Start times for each practice are listed below. Each session is currently scheduled for two hours, but will vary.

Kickoff for the season opener against St. Joseph's (Ind.) is slated for 7:00 p.m. (ET) at Memorial Stadium on September 4.
