The Indiana State women's golf team continues the fall campaign on Monday and Tuesday, October 3-4 when they travel to Cape Girardeau, Mo., to participate in the Missouri Valley Conference Preview at the Dalhousie Golf Club, which is a par-72, 6,214-yard layout.
Participating in the event will be: Bradley, Drake, Evansville, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola
Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, Wichita State, Murray State, UMKC, Arkansas State and Austin Peay. The Salukis are the host for the event.
Starting for the Sycamores will be Marissa Uradomo, who earlier this fall won the YSU Kickoff Invitational as part of an overall team victory, Thilda Staubo, Sierra Hargens, Sophie Benetti and Robyn Blanchard. Dawn Turner will be competing in the event as an individual.
"We are looking forward to playing in the event this week," head coach Greg Towne said. "The team will be facing a really strong field this week with all the Valley teams plus Murray State, Arkansas State and others. I want our players to treat this as just what it is a 'preview'. This tournament is an opportunity for us to see what skills we will need to have for our return here next spring with a chance to play in the NCAAs. We get the opportunity to play 36 holes the first day and the team really likes that."
The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday. There will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (ET) on both days. Live stats are available at GolfStat.com as well as by a link at the top of this story.
