ST. LOUIS – After leading the Sycamores to a thrilling 27-24 victory over Southeast Missouri on Saturday night, sophomore quarterback Isaac Harker has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

Sophomore QB Isaac Harker has proved time and again that he has the ability to lead the Sycamore offense, but he once again showed his propensity for late-game comebacks after leading ISU on two expertly crafted fourth-quarter drives to propel the Sycamores to a thrilling 27-24 win over Southeast Missouri on Saturday night. Harker ended the night 22-of-36 for 302 yards and 3 TDs, nearly identical to his first two performances as ISU's starter in 2016 and his second-career 300-yard passing game (Indiana State did not have a 300-yard passer during the 2015 season). In the fourth quarter alone, Harker was 11-of-16 for 126 yards and 2 TDs. With 5:19 to go, Harker led the Sycamores through the air on a superb seven-play, 68-yard drive that culminated with a five-yard TD strike to Robert Tonyan Jr. After a defensive stop, Harker took the Sycamore offense down the field with 1:33 left to play and eventually found Miles Thompson on an improvised 15-yard short fade into the endzone for the winning score with 10.8 seconds to play. Harker also had a great start to the game with a 75-yard touchdown strike to RB Dimitri Taylor on the very first play of the game. On the season, Harker ranks second in the Valley at 284.7 passing yards per game and second in total offense at 286.7 YPG.
