TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The second annual Sycamore Athletics Kickoff Party at the ISU Annex was the first opportunity this season for Sycamore fans of all ages to meet student-athletes and coaches from all 15 Sycamore programs as excitement builds for the 2016-17 campaign.
The party, initially conceived by student-athletes, was directed this year by Athletics Marketing Coordinator Christina Lee and gave fans the rare opportunity to meet and talk to coaches and athletes they see on the field each season.
Fans had the opportunity to play various carnival type games with current student athletes such as: a dunk tank, life-sized bag toss, putt-putt and a bounce house.
The Indiana State Soccer team has already kicked off the season, but volleyball begins this weekend at Samford while football inches closer to their home opener on Saturday, September 3 at 3:00 p.m. (ET) against in-state rival Butler.
With several hundred fans in attendance at this year's event, the ticket office staff was busy signing up new Sycamores Kids Club members as well as football and basketball season ticket holders.
