TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's and women's track and field is set to host three other schools for the scored Pacesetter Invitational on Friday and Saturday, and will also recognize 19 seniors competing in their last regular-season home meet of their Sycamore careers.
Conference foe Southern Illinois, as well as DePaul and Saint Louis, will be in attendance for the quad-scored meet at Gibson Track & Field Complex this weekend. The Sycamores met up with the Salukis and Billikens just last week at the Tom Botts Invite at Mizzou.
Friday night will be light in competition, as the only events scheduled are the men's and women's hammer and javelin throws, beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday will feature the bulk of the meet, with both the track and field events starting at noon.
Most importantly, Indiana State will honor 19 seniors that have contributed to some of the most prolific seasons in Sycamore Track history. A ceremony will take place near the finish line on Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:35 p.m. between the end of the 200-meter dashes and the beginning of the 4x400-meter relays.
Those seniors that will be honored are: Jamar Brown, Demetra Camble, Connor Curley, Taylor Gilles, Elizabeth Herron, Jaleesa Holmes, Colby Johnson, Tricia Joll, Ioanna Koltsidou, Andrew Kump, John Mascari, Chidera Obasih, DeSean Prentice, Kimyanna Rudolph, Katelyn Rutz, Arqeil Shaw, Whitney Walker, Adarius Washington and Katie Wise.
