PEORIA, Ill. -- The Indiana State Sycamores finished third among the 13 team field in the 2016 Bradley Spring Invitational. The event was held over the last two days at the Weaver Ridge Golf Course, a par-72, 6,065-yard layout. High winds shortened the event by one round to 36 holes after the first round was suspended on Saturday.

The Sycamores carded rounds of 327 and 322 to finish with a tournament tally of 649. Host Bradley won the event with a two-round score of 614. Loyola was second with a score of 642, which bested Indiana State by seven strokes. Indiana State was four strokes ahead of a two-way tie for fourth place between Northern Iowa and Western Illinois who finished with a score of 653.

SIU Edwardsville was sixth (662), Drake was seventh (663), Illinois-Chicago finished eighth (667) and Evansville was ninth (669). In tenth place was Omaha (670) while DePauw finished 11th (678) in a tie with Bradley "B". Green Bay rounded out the field in 13th place with a score of 687.

Individually, Marissa Uradomo posted her seventh Top 10 finish of the season as she used rounds of 82 and 77 to finish with a score of 159 and a tie for ninth place.

Freshman Robyn Blanchard posted a 78 during the second round after recording a score of 82 to begin the event and her tally of 160 tied for 13th place. It marked the third consecutive Top 20 finish for Blanchard and was just two shots off her career best for a low 36-hole tournament.

Thilda Staubo made it three Top 20 showings in a row as she posted rounds of 81 and 80 as her two-round score of 161 was good enough to tie for 16th place. It marked her fourth Top 20 finish of the season.

Sophie Benetti carded rounds of 82 and 87 to finish with a tournament score of 169 which tied for 38th place. Alex Jennings battled the windy conditions to record two rounds of 88 and her score of 176 which tied for 61st place.

Playing as individuals, Shelby WIlliams posted rounds of 84 and 86 to record a tournament score of 170 which tied for 40th place. Right behind her was Dawn Turner who had rounds of 86 and 85 and her tournament tally of 171 was tied for 44th place.

Freshman Abigail Irwin followed up an opening round of 93 with an afternoon score of 86 for a two-round score of 179 and a finish in 66th place. Her second round score of 86 is a career-best. Samantha Hightower carded rounds of 96 and 92 to finish with a tournament score of 188 and finished in a tie for 72nd. Hightower tied a career-best with her second round mark of 92.
