SCOUTING THE BRAVES
Bradley is fresh off a split weekend series where it picked up a win at Wichita State (55-50) and fell to Missouri State (59-56). They are led by sophomore forward Anneke Schlueter (9.9 ppg.) and redshirt junior Whitney Tinjum (9.6 ppg.). Junior guard Leti Lerma leads on the glass with 6.3 rebounds per game while the Braves shoot 36.0 percent from the floor per game and average 56.4 points per contest.
LAST TIME AROUND
The Sycamores picked up its 20th straight home win over the Bradley Braves when the two teams met for the first time this season on Jan. 24. ISU got 20 points from redshirt senior guard Cierra Ceazer and 11 from freshman guard Tierra Webb in the 59-37 victory
.
TAKING DOWN THE LEAGUE LEADER
Indiana State picked up another big win on Sunday as it took down MVC leader Drake on Sunday, 68-53. The Sycamores snapped a four-game skid against the Bulldogs in the series and held them to their lowest offensive output in nearly two years. Indiana State hit 10 3-pointers in the win, the second most in a single game this season led by Ashley Taia's five.
TRY TO MAKE IT NINE
The Sycamores will look to extend the league's second-longest win streak versus another conference foe on Friday night when it visits Bradley. ISU has won the last eight against the Braves, dating back to 2011-12 and leads the all-time series with the Braves 46-24.
ASH ON THE ATTACK
Redshirt sophomore Ashley Taia flexed her offensive muscle in Sunday afternoon's win over league-leading Drake. The Brisbane, Australia native connected on five 3-pointers and went 6-for-11 from the floor in the 68-53 victory. Her 17 points were a team-high as she also grabbed two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
JOYEA POSTS DOUBLE FIGURES
Redshirt junior Joyea Marshall posted her 10th game in double-digits and fourth-in-a-row in Friday night's loss to Northern Iowa. She also grabbed eight rebounds, just one shy of junior forward Rhagen Smith's team-high nine.
MAKE THAT EIGHT
Indiana State used its eighth different lineup on Feb. 5 at Illinois State. With Alexis Newbolt out, freshman guard Jennifer Mackowiak picked up her sixth career start in her place. Redshirt senior guard Cierra Ceazer is now the only Sycamore to have started all 22 games this season.
DIRKS CONTINUES TO CLIMB
Indiana State redshirt junior forward Kelsey Dirks continues to climb on the single season blocks list. She posted two more blocks to increase her single season total to 39, which takes over sole possession of sixth place in a single season. She needs five more to move into a tie for fifth place (Kiwana Battle 2000-01).
APPROACHING 500
Redshirt senior Cierra Ceazer is quickly approaching her 500 career point as a Sycamore. The redshirt senior has just two seasons to her resume at Indiana State and currently stands at 457 career points -- 301 of which she's scored this season.
UP NEXT
The Lady Sycamores head further north in the Land of Lincoln as it meets the Loyola Ramblers on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff in Gentile Arena in Chicago is set for 3 p.m. ET.
