Senior Halee Myers Earns MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team Honors

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.—The awards keep streaming in for the Indiana State softball team as senior Halee Myers was named All-MVC Scholar Athlete, the league office announced Monday.

In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have at 3.2 GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore in ath- letic and academic standing and meet certain playing requirements. 

Myers, a native of Pendleton, Ind., finished her four-year career as a Sycamore with a 3.88 GPA in Elementary Education while also being an outfielder on the field. Myers also played all four seasons, without committing an error. She was also named a member of the Dean's list every semester and is a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society while serving as the treasurer for SAAC for two years.
 
Myers was also All-MVC Scholar Athlete Honorable Mention during the 2012 season.
