TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The
Sycamore Athletic Foundation will be having their Fourth Annual Varsity Club
Classic August 19-20 presented by WTWO. The Golf Classic will be held at Idle
Creek Golf Course. Registration and lunch will begin at noon, and the shotgun
start at 1:00pm on Friday, August 19th. The Varsity Club Dinner and Auction will take
place at the South Gym in the ISU Arena from 6:30-11:00pm on Saturday, August
20th.
Participating in the Golf Classic on Friday, August
19th, will be a fun and competitive way to support the Sycamores and
interact with various coaches and staff.
There are cash prizes for the top three teams and registration will
include: lunch, player gift, and free beverages. The proceeds of this golf outing will
supplement the scholarships of over 350 student-athletes as well as the
operating budget for the 2011-2012 seasons.
Following the Golf Classic on that Saturday, August
20th, there will be an opportunity to join Sycamore coaches, athletes,
and staff in the ISU Arena. The evening includes: dinner, live and silent
auctions, entertainment, and a meet and greet with some of Indiana State's
finest athletes. This event will raise
funds for Sycamore Athletic programs and create awareness of what Indiana State
Athletics has to offer.
The Annual Varsity Club Classic provides donors,
and fans, an opportunity to experience various venues of the sport teams at
Indiana State. Last year's event brought
in nearly 250 fans at Bob Warn Field and the Sycamore Athletic Foundation looks
to push for more than that this year. If
there are any questions please contact Charlene Dabelow in the Sycamore Athletic Foundation at
